ABOUT THE DATA

How our prices work

Real retailer observations, separate product histories and price ratings based on the record. Here is what the numbers mean when you shop.

RigScore rates the price, not the part.

A high score means a favorable price within our recorded history. It does not measure GPU speed, compatibility or seller quality.

What counts as a current price?

A positive US-dollar item price, checked as in stock within the last 24 hours. Shipping, tax, rebates and membership conditions are not included. Confirm the exact item and final total with the store.

We collect public retailer pages from a bounded selection of connected sources. Check the product’s displayed timestamp: browsing the site does not trigger a new price check.

How to read the price chart

  • Each point: the lowest observed item price on that UTC day for the displayed exact variant and condition.
  • A gap: no observation for that day. We do not invent a price between checks.
  • 30-day average: the average of the observed daily low prices, giving each observed day equal weight.
  • Lowest tracked: the lowest recorded price since we began tracking, with enough coverage to support the claim.

A single point means tracking has started, not that a trend exists. “All time” covers our recorded history, not the product’s entire retail lifetime. Three-month, six-month and one-year labels need enough observations across the full period.

What does RigScore tell you?

RigScore is a 0–100 assessment of the current price against its recent recorded history. Higher scores indicate a more favorable price within that sample. Limited source coverage limits the conclusion.

  • Great deal: substantially favorable versus recent tracked prices.
  • Good deal: favorable versus recent tracked prices.
  • Typical price: within its usual recent range.
  • Above recent average: a higher price than its recent tracked average.
  • Not rated yet: we need more observed history before assessing the price.

Ratings require enough elapsed time and daily coverage. Rechecking one day repeatedly cannot create a long-term record. A historical-low label can coexist with a typical-price assessment when a price has stayed the same. Scores never predict the next price.

Why exact variants stay separate

RTX 3060 names a family. A specific Gigabyte Windforce 12GB card is a variant. A store’s listing for that card is an offer. We compare exact capacity, manufacturer identifiers, memory generation and condition; uncertain matches remain separate.

Different capacities, board models and new, used or refurbished conditions keep their own records. Source titles and identifiers remain available on product pages.

One used product, individual seller offers

Matching exact used variants share one product page, led by the cheapest current offer. Different board models, capacities and new or refurbished conditions remain separate. The used chart shows each day’s lowest recorded asking price across matching offers; the cheapest seller can change. Individual seller observations remain stored separately. These are asking prices, not completed sales, and a listing disappearing does not prove a sale.

We do not inspect cards or independently verify seller condition claims. Check each seller’s photos, test results, warranty and return terms.

A price drop is not automatically a deal

Daily and weekly movement compare the same offer with a real earlier observation near the 24-hour or seven-day boundary. We do not substitute another store’s older price or infer a missing observation.

How price alerts reach you

Sign in, open a product and choose “Watch this product.” Set a target price or choose a supported historical-low rule. Matching exact variants are monitored across connected sources, keeping condition separate.

Alerts currently appear in your account, at most once per watched product per 24 hours. Repeated unchanged prices do not create repeated alerts. Historical alerts need enough recorded coverage. Email and push notifications are not connected.

Affiliate links do not change the rankings

Current offers are ordered by item price. Affiliate payments never change RigScore, chart values or deal labels. Amazon is a comparison link only; we do not scrape Amazon or include its prices in the historical record.
