THE RIGSCORE / BUYING GUIDES

Why exact variants matter when comparing prices

Compare the same capacity, board design, memory specification and condition first, because a shared family name does not make two products interchangeable. Keep uncertain matches separate.

A family is not an exact product

An RTX chip name identifies a family. The board manufacturer, capacity, cooling design and part number identify a more specific product. Distinct variants can have legitimately different prices.

Memory kits need more than a capacity match

A 32GB kit may contain two or four modules. DDR generation, speed, latency, ECC support and registered versus unbuffered module type can affect both price and compatibility. Do not treat capacity alone as proof that kits are interchangeable.

Separate offers from variants

Two retailers may sell the same exact variant. Those are offers to compare together. Uncertain identities should stay separate until a reliable identifier establishes equivalence.

Inspect the source

The original retailer listing title remains available on product pages alongside normalized names. Check the manufacturer identifier and retailer description before buying. A concise display title is a navigation aid, not a complete specification sheet.
